The Illustrious Client

I started watching simply because the show starred the drop dead beautiful Lucy Liu. The show was entertaining in the first two seasons, but not exceptional. Lucy Liu is not only a pretty face. She does an excellent job as Watson. The Holmes character that Jonny Lee Miller created has depth and is uniquely engaging. The writing seems to have improved by an order of magnitude in this the third season. The new character Kitty Winter has added a new level of interest to the series. Ophelia Lovibond is extraordinary in her role. I hope the series continues and that Ophelia remains a part. I say, "bravo well done for season 3."

We've all known that the darkest part of Kitty's past is going to be revisited at some point in this season, but I don't think we were ready for that much. One of the rare times on Elementary when you are actually scared for the characters' well-being. The air of uncertainty and horror is all around as the ones who usually hunt the criminals become the hunted. The ending was heart-breaking and will make every fan of the show anticipate the next episode so much more. Surprisingly, it was almost as good as the Moriarty episode (e23?) in season one with almost as strong of a twist at the end. We are in for a treat in the upcoming episode, I hope (the Moriarty follow-up did not go as well).
