So dumb for Fox to cancel this. I think the show deserved another season, at least, to wrap things up. This show seems more suitable for something like Hulu. I was rooting for the show to continue.
It feels like John Stamos wrote the script and directed everything. I feel soooo much Full House/Fuller House vibes in this show.
But no, I'm not complaining, it's really funny and sweet comedy. It's not even overdone. It has tho this cliche point, where every episode starts with the bad-guy-trying-to-be-good messing things up and end with him making everything better.
But well, the actors are good and when this cliche point and Full House vibes don't bother you, then it's actually really worth the watch.
But I hate that it ended, the ending was sooo interesting and they literally ended at the most interesting part!!!
OK, John Stamos is back with a new comedy. It is about a self-centered 50+ bachelor who his life turns upside down when his -never met before- 26 y.o. son enters his life. And bares a baby with him, a grandchild for our hero.
The series is build heavily around Stamos's character who is practically in every scene.
The script is mildly funny. A couple awkward moments which the hero masters gracefully, some self-sarcasm and....well...pretty much that's it. Not heavy jokes or tense moments.
So, it is a comedy for really light viewing. No fake laugh track is always a plus. Not the best newcomer of the season but you may want to give it a try.

Honestly, a little late but started watching this during the christmas break! Such a comedic, diverse cast and theirs good representation so their something for everyone.
I loved the premise of this show. It's hard not to love a show where lost family members find each other; Although the son Gerald was a bit annoying his funny/cute relationship with his girlfriend and dad made him bearable. It would of been nice to see more moments between Jimmy and Gerald. Also how hilarious was the mum such perfect comedic timing, I spent the entirety of this show rooting for her to get with a decent guy and was sad when they made jimmy lie like that at the end.
