I'm a fan of alien abduction movies, and this short comedy film is absolutely brilliant. It's important to remember that a short film with a runtime of five minutes cannot be directly compared to a full-length movie. That said, this short film boasts cinematography on par with a full-length production, featuring special effects of excellent quality-especially impressive considering the likely modest budget.
The main character reminded me of Rammstein's Keine Lust music video, and it turned out that the character's unique features were essential to the story, serving as a key driver for a major plot twist. U. F. Oh Yeah is undoubtedly successful in delivering comedic value, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have been following Film Riot for a few years now and they never fail to amaze me. The wit and humor they come up with makes me laugh for days. This time too i was expecting the same and boy did they deliver. Transforming josh into a fat chubby guy was a killer move. Dint see that coming. The placement of logo, bammie wahm chocolate etc was the cherry on the cake. The ending was hilarious and i wont mention what it was and spoil it as i want people to watch it and find out for themselves. Not just that, the BTS videos shows the great deal of effort they took to make the short film what it is. Do check out that too on FILM RIOT's YouTube channel if you haven't yet.
I was actually getting ready to go on a long trip and casually checked youtube for the new videos. That's when i saw the video U.F.Oh Yeah! I almost missed my bus and put my whole trip in jeopardy because i was so engrossed in the video. LOL. It was worth it!
Thnx Film Riot for all the videos including this one. It surely is a memorable film that i will surely not forget easily :)

Doing a short doesn't mean short on talent, expense or lack of experience. Every camera movement and second of audio in this short adds to the experience, and any length of time reviewing it would be better spent just watching the video..... Lots of technical achievements packed into so short a time!
The biggest let down of course, is so short of a film, it leaves you just wanting to see a whole series... to know more about the character. While only having a few moments with him, They did an amazing job at conveying the character's past, present, and desires that builds that connection with the viewers.

Ryan Connolly has been my mentor for over a year and half. I had not known him earlier but when I learnt about his works I watched all episodes of his very educational and fun-to-watch Film Riot series. I watched all his works more than once and to see this one, even greater than the ones before is a great example that with effort, love, passion and a good heart dreams are achievable. The first thing I admired about the film is the cinematography. Ryan Booth did a great job in using the visuals, color & color temperature, movement and the like to help tell the story. Put this together with the great story and direction from Ryan Connolly brings out not only a good comedy short film but also a great visual piece as well. The second thing I loved about the film was the acting. We've seen Josh from the first episode paving his skills in the world of performance. We've watched him in comedy, action, thriller and he's grown in each step. This film being a proof of the great development. The story is great, the suspense is the right amount and the turn point is unexpected but great in the style it was crafted on. U.F.OH Yeah is definitely a film to watch especially when one wants to understand the growth of the indie film making society, the growth of Film Riot.
I loved Film Riot years ago, and I really enjoyed the other shorts they produced. To me, this short was nothing. This reminded me of a skit that would be made by a SNL short director, however the film lacked the comedic value. I know the gargantuan Film Riot fan-base will come at me for this, but quite frankly I am more than OKAY with that. I know that film riot is just trying to utilize all the new gear and visual effects that they did not have access to before, but maybe I just miss the old film riot. For a positive note, the film was visually appealing. The cinematography was definitely the only plus I saw. I felt the storytelling was off.. Within five minutes Ryan didn't really encapsulate me, nor did he impress me, and nor did I find the story even worth my time..As of now, I am not pleased with how this short came out. Bark at me all you want.
