Really enjoyed it when I watched it for the first time yesterday. Some great scares. I want to watch it again another couple of times. I won't leave any spoilers. Beautiful cast and decent location along with the storyline. It was also decent. Will be purchasing it on Blu-Ray. Anyone who loves supernatural movies will like this.
Meredith Kochan(plays Brooke) is by far the WORST actress I've ever seen. It truly doesn't get worse than that performance. Don't waste your time with this movie.
Creepy doll - check. Abandoned house - check. Hidden cams - check. Demon pretending to be dead family member - check. Paranormal mumbo-jumbo - check.
Yep, this sequel has it all, except characters that are enjoyable to watch. Where the original had believable characters, these are cartoons of characters. This was a disappointing sequel.

2 out of 10 was a very generous rating from me. Only gave it a 2 because of a couple of half decent performances & a couple of creepy looking scenes that almost worked. Almost. This film may not be bad enough to give you a migraine but it WILL give you a mild headache. The plot & narrative are a mess, you'll be left wondering what's going on, who's doing what & why they just did it. I like this kind of film if it's done well. This wasn't. The 10/10 reviews on here have got to be from vested interests, I can only hope in my small way, I'm doing something to balance the overall score. Muff Cabbage.
I know I'm one of the few fans of the original film, but I thought it was a lot of fun and I have no problem watching it over and over. I only recently discovered that it had a sequel and was thrilled....until I watched it. The fact that only three of the original cast members made appearances with two in very minimal scenes was an issue for me. The new cast were so dreadfully annoying that I couldn't wait for them to be picked off. The script was so far removed from the original concept of a haunted asylum that it really made little sense. The camera work was so grainy I couldn't see what was happening through much of the movie. The main complaint I have is that this film lacked all the charm of the original. I wish Kellog would have written a sequel that captured the spooky fun of the first. Hopefully, he doesn't gamble on a third.
