They did a excellent job creating this new face of the Marvel Universe with the inhuman. Daisy was phenomenal with her new outfit and her short hair , I find funny that Coulson cannot see her as Skye anymore but that part of the transition since one again the team is incomplete without Simmons. It was very heartbreaking the way that Fitz react when Coulson told him that he need to just give up and assume that she was gone forever. From apart Daisy AKA Skye that has grow with the show I thinking the other character that has show a great improvement is Fitz from a boy that was broken by Ward's betrayal and brought the man on him the one that is not giving up until he found Simmons alive and with him. I believe this was the break thru from all the episode that we have see Fitz act like he those , taking that shotgun and start screaming to the rock and fight with that is was a very touching in how he fell for her and how much his love is for Simmons.
If we talk about the visual effect that was way better than the last two seasons and the New Bus that way cooler than I could have imagined they did pretty good job make so much real for the audience. I really hope that this season prove to those that still not believing in the program that it is worthy watching this since season one.
A lot of things have happened since then. Hydra takes over. A Guy with No Eyes who can Teleport shows up. Shield vs Shield. Skye meets her dad - And her mum, who apparently never ages. Inhumans. Visits from Asgardians, even flashbacks to Agent Carter's days with the SSR and the 107th "Howlin Commandos". And finally, a rock that the Inhumans were scared of swallows the Simmons half of the Fitz-Twins whole. But they had not really been twins for most of S02, after being being dunked in the ocean and Fitz was brain-dead.
It was hard to see who exactly were the bad guys and who were the good guys. That's what made it interesting.
But at the end of S02, some blue goop that changes people into aliens somehow gets into fish-oil pills. That's where this starts. Shield is now a rogue agency, but there is another agency running about trying to capture New-Inhumans. Except, that the New-Inhumans are mostly showing up dead before either Coulson or these new guys can get to them. The reason for this is rather creepy.
From Season 1 to Season 3, these characters have gotten much more developed. These people have had enough Future Shock dumped on them to kill 100,000 Alvin Tofflers. And they never put a fishbowl on the side of Coulson's plane... Well, too late now. And is it too late for Simmons? If left up to Fitz, hell no: Fitz who confronts middle eastern terrorists just to get a Hebrew Scroll that might have a clue as to what this Rock that turns into liquid occasionally is. I have to agree that the Fitz character has gotten much more interesting.

- TriviaIn the background, Coulson has the ax that Mack used to cut off his hand hanging on the wall in his office.
- GoofsThe Terrigen Crystals and Mist give superpowers to those with Inhuman lineage, but kill anyone else they come in contact with. When it was released in the ecosystem in the fish oil supplements, there should have been biotransformations and fatalities, but none of the latter have been reported yet.
Actually, the crystals themselves, as explained my Skye's mom, only affect inhumans. It's the outer metal shielding of the Diviner that is lethal to regular humans. One of the main characters was killed in the temple after the shards had stabbed him. Skye's mom's crystals had contained the metal since she had been unable to leach them after melting down one of the diviners. However, as Morse explains in the third season, the crystals melted in the water, leaving the metal behind, making the fish oil inert to all, except of course, the inhumans.

Phil Coulson: This new aircraft can stay in the air much longer than the old plane. Days, really. So, rapid response anywhere is...
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: You *love* your new toy, don't you?
Phil Coulson: I very much love my new toy.
