I always have trouble with first episodes of these series. There are so many obtuse angles to this as it goes along. I would say the same thing about virtually every series of its type. That said, I will withhold judgment until I have a bit more to look at.
Ok it starts as mystery, logical as continues... and suddenly a fake sex, for no reason... and spoil all the mood it trys to make
and the worst is even after the bad scene of sex, its better to have not this at all.... both want someone else... maybe show us later??
Pfff lose every instresting to gap the scenario??
I cant contintue.

makes a lot more sense and made me a better person because i could ignore how cheesy it was, watch while totally baked. the last scene was amazing, i love how it ends, i love the middle of the show as all of the kids become better friends, don't quite like the beginning but overall thought it was really good, i had a good time, very much so recommend so i could have someone to talk about this with.
First season is raw and compelling even with its problematic continuity. Second season seems like different writing/writers. Slicker and more Hollywood. Worth the watch if you're willing to overlook the inconsistency.
I really don't get why this show has such a high rating. Granted, I've so far only watched the first episode, so maybe the show just takes off after episode 1, but even the first episode has a 8.3 IMDb score which to me is a complete mystery.
The main character (the OA) acts like she is walking a knifes edge between bordering retarded and mysteriously gifted - sometimes she's secretive to the extremely annoying, and other times she can just persuade people to do things that are so extremely unlikely. No matter what she just annoys the hell out of me, and this may make me biased.
The side characters are okay. The OA's parents are pretty 2 dimensional, and so are most of the side characters (again, judging from first episode only).
The plot is confusing, and the first episode uses almost 1 hour developing what I hope is the monster of all plots 'cause else this is going to one boring train ride.
I'm not going to watch any more of this show. The main character alone is enough reason for me to quit now. She is annoying me so much. Maybe I'm wrong, so if the next episodes rock your socks off, then let me know!

- TriviaThe opening titles appear only at the 57 minute mark, 13 minutes before the end. This makes possibly the longest "intro" ever.
- GoofsThe subtitles of the English translation from Russian are incorrect. The father is incorrectly quoted as calling his daughter "cabbage", when he actually calls her "kitten".
- Quotes
Prairie Johnson: [beginning her meeting with the five] I'm gonna tell you my story from the beginning. And there will come a point when you'll see why you're here what you might do together, how you could help people that you'll never meet. But you have to pretend to trust me until you actually do.
