A must-see! 🌟 How exciting to see this movie again in the comfort of our homes! It is a shocking and tragic experience, a story that has to be told so people can remember and challenge the societal changes if it happens for history to repeat itself.
If this movie was made by one of the big production studios it would have been nominated and surely had won many awards. As it is shocking, it is a true story (my own family members have been politically persecuted and detained during those times) and it should be remembered and shared with the world so people can see the ugly head of communism and socialism and the negative impact on the society. The movie should be a must watch for all the nostalgic people who are dreaming about communism. Never forget, never again!
Thank you, Victoria Baltag for continuing the great work in bringing stories of great impact on the world!

The feature film, "The Pitesti Experiment", a history lesson full of meaning and emotion...
🏆,,Hats off!" and congratulations to director Victoria Baltag, Marius Donici (Director of Photography) and the group of young actors with a potential revelation!
🙏Pious tribute, Ion Caramitru.
👏Work done over 12 years. Zero budget. PASSION, GRACE and GIFT!
The film is of inestimable value... May destiny reward their work and bestow RECOGNITION on them!
It was emotional to watch.
I recommend you watch the film.
I would have liked the projection screen to be larger, the cinematic experience would have been more immersive.
Please set a minimum age for viewing because some scenes are very graphic and difficult to digest for young ages.
I felt that it was a film that was worked on with heart and soul for 12 years.
For me, it was one of the most important events.
And as your colleague said, I didn't see any authorities in the room, we don't know the reason.
Maybe I didn't notice them 😅 I want it to be watched by as many Romanians as possible.
I felt that you are marked by your creation and it is part of you. Please have a dialogue with the audience, get closer. I understand the desire to do justice, but it doesn't help communication if the audience is judged harshly.
I would like you to return to the same setting with a bigger screen during the tourist season. I will participate again 🙂

An amazing movie, made by an amazing lady. A movie with real content, based on true facts, with one of the best actors ever, Ion Caramitru, beyond so many others with so much quality. Victoria is an inspiration for so many people: she made a movie with so few resources and with an amazing output. Please take the opportunity to watch all the movie and know a bit more about Romanian history. It's worth it.
In addition, please follow Victoria in her social media as she is preparing new surprises, who knows, new films ;) With so many talent and experience I believe you will receive a great award soon.

I've seen the movie and wanted to say a few words while it's fresh in my memory.
Given the budget and the notoriety of the actors involved, I'd say it's a decent attempt to re-create the historical facts behind the real "Pitesti experiment".
It's not meant to be politically correct nor it does so. I would like to praise the performance of the actor that was cast as the leading role, he did a pretty good job to get inside the part. It shows perfectly how one can become just a tool of the regime when the self-preservation instinct becomes the only thing that drives their actions.
There are some scenes where the dialogue seems a bit sub-par or clumsy, but I think, overall, it manages to build upon and puts the viewer in the unsettling landscape of the prison horrors that occured back then. Some prison scenes are really hard to watch and will give some anxiety even to the toughest mind.
On a side note, this topic remains a dreadful page on Romania's history to this day, having left the main voices responsible for these horrors unaccounted for and unpunished.

"The Pitesti Experiment" is undoubtedly a film worth watching, not only for its profound theme and emotional impact but also for the impressive effort of the team that made this project possible. It stands as a tribute to our recent history and a testament to the human sacrifice in the face of unimaginable atrocities.
What makes this film truly remarkable is the fact that it was self-funded. The people who worked on it spent years conducting thorough research, poured their hearts and souls into it, and worked tirelessly to faithfully depict the horrors of communist prisons. Every detail, from the set design to the performances, reflects the passion and dedication of the team.
As the final film of the late maestro Ion Caramitru, The Pitesti Experiment becomes even more precious, serving as an artistic testament to an exceptional career. Additionally, Sergiu Flesner delivers a memorable performance, contributing to the authenticity and emotional intensity of the story. Filming in the city of Iasi adds extra value, showcasing locations that have witnessed history.
This film is more than a cinematic production - it is a history lesson, an invitation to reflection, and a tribute to the memory of those who suffered in the name of freedom. It deserves all our appreciation and support!
