This is a beautifully animated version of Cinderella.
I love all of the characters, and they are fleshed out so well.
I especially love the characterization of Cinderella. While she is as beautiful and kind as she is supposed to be, she is also a 16 year old girl.
She has a bit of a temper and she has the silly dreams of a 16 year old that make her act a bit silly.
There are a few inconsistencies between the episodes, but nothing that can't be overlooked in the name of a brilliantly planned out story.
There is a real plot to the tale, with fun and intrigue, on top of the sweet story of two friends falling in love instead of starngers, and a young boy growing into a man.
