The rifle Nolan returns in the beginning of the episode is a Russian made WWII era PPSh-41.

Goofs
The entrance to Doc Yewll's office prominently displays a winged staff entwined by two serpents. This however is the Caduceus, staff of Hermes the messenger. The Rod of Asclepius, Roman god of healing and medicine, has no wings and only a single serpent.
