My overall rating of "Veep"'s Season 5: 6/10.
There continue to be strange, asinine, overthought plot twists, and some gags do fail to land or make sense, but overall the episode presented here is a good one because it wraps up the characters' storylines very nicely, especially that of Selina. The final few scenes with her are especially quite interesting.

- TriviaTony Hale (Gary Walsh), Dan Bakkedahl (Roger Furlong) & Jessica Chaffin (Congresswoman Gellardi) also worked together on The Heat (2013) as The John, Craig & Gina/Gina's Boobs respectively.
- GoofsImmediately after the inauguration, the TV announcer announces President Montez's Tibet deal with China. The military airlift plane shown on the left though is a European Airbus A 400M. There might be any number of reasons for that type being at Andrews as it is operated by several NATO allies, but it is not used by China. The only non-NATO country to use it is Malaysia.

Roger Furlong: [to Jonah] Now let me give you some advice before you're yanked out of here like a cheerleader's unwanted fetus. You say nothing and you do less. And take off those fucking glasses. You look like Clark Kent if they dug up Christopher Reeve's corpse to play the part.
