This is a review by a human.

This episode is a testament to what these actors can do with a great script - brilliant performances all around (most notably Ryan Gage imo) and fun to watch!!

I had to check to make sure this wasn't the finale episode. Not only was I entertained, the story stirred in me emotion and provoked inward thought and reflection. This episode contains multiple one-on-one scenes between actors, providing an intimate insight into so many of the characters, I'm not even sure I could pick a favorite!

Although the action sequences are nearly an afterthought when compared with the aforementioned character scenes, they are still some of the best in the series!

    Thanks very much, BBC.

    • Goofs
With D'artagnan and Porthos in the storage building, men approach armed with matchlocks and wheellocks. But the matches in the matchlocks are not lit, rendering them inoperable. No one would approach a fight armed with an unlit matchlock with the intention of lighting it when the fight started. That would make them vulnerable. Rather, one would lite the match first, then proceed into conflict.

Marquis de Feron: The day you die is just like every other day. You wake and dress and eat and drink just like every other day. You don't see death coming -- or hear its approach -- because you are too busy living, too busy enjoying your life, sating your appetites. Rich man or beggar, it does not discriminate. Death doesn't care about fleeing your demons or making amends for them. It doesn't care about any of that. It cares only that this is your time, your day to die, and this is the Musketeers' day.
