Right, well this 2019 movie is listed as a fantasy, horror and sci-fi movie, and yeah it does have elements of all three, but it hardly made for an entertaining movie.
I had no idea what I was in for when I sat down to watch the 2019 movie from writers Barry W. Levy and Helenna Santos. So I entered the movie with an open mind. Turns out that I was in for a prolonged ordeal of a movie at the hands of director Barry W. Levy.
I can honestly say that I have little or no clue as to what the purpose of the storyline in the movie was. It felt like director Barry W. Levy just made up things as filming progressed.
As for the acting in the movie, well it was adequate performances, especially when you take into consideration that the actresses had virtually next to nothing to work with in terms of script, storyline and characters. In fact, I just finished watching the movie, and I can't honestly name a single of the characters in the movie by name. Yeah, the characters were that pointless, bland and nonessential.
I suffered through the entire movie without an ounce of enjoyment falling from the stem of the movie and into my lap. Why I endured the entire movie, was solely because I wanted to see if just a little bit of any worth or interest would eventually happen throughout the course of the entire movie. I didn't!
I am rating "The Shasta Triangle" a mere three out of ten stars, and the reason for it getting three and not just one is solely because of the production value that the movie has to it. It definitely feels like a proper movie and the spirit behind it was there. Just a shame that the executed was botched by having nothing in terms of storyline and characters.
There are far better mystical movies out there if you enjoy a good thrill. There really is no reason for you to sit down and suffer through the ordeal that is known as "The Shasta Triangle".

And I'm not happy about this.
Just don't waist your time...
I found the concept of this film to be very interesting, and despite some reviews on vfx, for it being what I assume is a micro budget indie with a sub $250k budget, they're pretty good. The camera work was really beautiful, especially the drone shots which provide an expansive feeling to the forest setting. I'd like to see what could be done with this story on a budget it deserves, and see how the character development could also expand in that arena, as I was hungry to understand the father-daughter dynamic more than the friendships between the primary and secondary characters. I feel that with a longer story and runtime aligned with most features (perhaps 90 minutes), some key plot points could have been further clarified and developed. Overall, I think it was a great microbudget effort and could see this on SyFy.
This movie deserves nothing more than a garbage score for a garbage movie. I've stood by many low budget films that I have turned out to live, this was complete and absolutely awful. The acting was horrible, boring cinematography, multiple shots look dubbed and most importantly, the plot went NOWHERE. There was not one redeeming quality about this film. No questiones were answered, plot holes left right and centre, and it failed to come to a conclusion that made any sense. Top 10 worst ending in existence.
Any reviews above 3 on this movie are fake, if you really don't believe me, save your money and pirate this hunk of trash and get ready to throw away the next hour and 15 minutes.
They must have paid the cast and crew a bonus to post glowing reviews on this pile of **** movie, most of the reviewers are one time posters just for this movie which immediately tells you just how bad it is.
The acting, whilst not the worst I've seen,is awful, the only convincing thing about it is how these girls fall apart repeatedly in a crisis and resort to being nasty to each other, strong female leads they are not contrary to the fake reviewers suggestions that they are, with friends like these you don't need enemies, the camera work is shoddy and looks like a shaky twelve year old is holding his phone up to film, the story line is pathetic, doesn't hold up and just all over the place until eventually the film just goes..well....nowhere,that's right,it just ends,no real explanations for anything or anyone,it just ends,it was just an awful movie from start to finish and I really struggled to get trough to the end in order to write a real review.
