I rarely watch documentary but this one has touched my heart so much that I needed to log in to my dusty imdb account to write this review.
Ron and Danny are devoted to saving dogs from streets and rescue centers. They open their house to the dogs and used their savings to help run the Rescue. Their selflessness and kindness to the animals just warm my heart. You'll be a cry baby if you are a dog person.
Please support them by donating to their Rescue, adopting dogs from your local rescue centers, spaying and neutering your dogs.

I watched this primarily cos of the cute doggos but as the story progressed I saw how dedicated Ron and Danny to these lovely dogs to the point it took over their house and their lives. I would have loved to adopt a few dogs from them but sadly I live in the UK...I would love to donate to them though.
Four million dogs in shelters are euthanized each year.
Four million.
If you walk away with nothing else than this statistic, your viewing of this film will have been worthwhile.
Been a dog lover all my life. Caught this on Netflix and was completely unprepared for the emotional rollercoaster. Plain and simple, I cried buckets. But walked away with nothing but admiration for Danny and Ron and the work they -- and all other heaven-sent angels who sweep dogs out of kill shelters and re-home them -- do. This is a film that will make fans of man's best friend want to drain their bank accounts and send the funds to support Danny and Ron and their counterparts all across the country.

It's always good to see such a great documentary. It really brings it home and then at the same time teaches you something. It was well edited and the story really just flowed well... I have to admit there were some moments were my eyes did water but there were more times where my heart was filled with joy. Danny and Ron are such great people and the world needs more like these two men... Here's to you two guys great work and thank you for sharing this story. Cheers
A wonderful if heartwrenching at times film about two men whose compassion and determination in rescuing over 11,000 unwanted dogs is a much-needed reminder of how wonderful people can be.
The upsetting scenes explaining things like kill shelters mean our 7 year old won't be watching this film just yet, but when he's a bit older this will be a family film for sure because the main message is about how we can all make a profound difference. It's also about honouring our unique selves and the passions that we have as you learn how both of these men always felt a bit different because of their sensitivity and love of animals. Seeing how they have followed that passion to rescue so many dogs who would otherwise be killed is deeply moving.
I've considered in the past buying a purebred dog because I had heard that they are most likely to have the best temperment or traits that I was looking for, but now I know I'll never do anything but adopt an animal from a rescue or shelter because these are the animals who are every bit as talented, lovable and gifted as their purebred counterparts. I knew that pet stores were places to be avoided because they keep the puppy mills -- animal slavery, essentially -- going, but now I know just how horrific these mills are and that they're on places like Craigs List or Gumtree too and I'll be sure to avoid them and ensure others I know avoid them too. It's the only way to stop such abuse of animals for the sake of profit.
A beautiful film about two generous, kind and giving men who are making an enormous difference in the lives of animals and people and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to witness their actions.
