Finding something typical swedish and twisting the knife in the melancholy and tragedy that this cruises could have. And also celebrate them for what they are.

A typical Swedish activity with a clear melancholy attached to it (cruise to Finland) and the feeling of beeing trapped is not hard to imagine for anyone taking a cruise with a finlandsfärja. But such a cruise is still fun and not pretentious. And this series catches nearly all of the archetypes usually beeing on this ship. Especially good is the creepy wash up singer, but also many from the crew are really good.

The horror is a good take on the vampire mythology, making it feel rather real. It is a little bit like a combination of vampires and zombie contamination. It reminds me mostly of Låt den rätte komma in realistic feel and also telling another tale behind the horror, but it also reminds me of Cronenbergs Shivers.

All in all a good series.

    Good story

Many warm friendship in an environment of caous. Good photo with may close filming and you really feel close to them. Through the hole film it was unexpected things that happened and you could not guess how it should end. Recommend even to thousand who don't like vampires. Just follow all the good relationships that are built.

    Slow, messy and not scary

Okey where to begin? The vampires are lame and not scary at all, there is zero build up for it to being scary och thrilling. It feels like when something is about to happen you already listed it out yourself. The karaoke scene and when the Nadja girl sings are so tasteless and bad camerawork and bad angles plus it's such boring filler and the music doesn't even fit the vibe of a Finlands boat. Had to watch the second episode because my girlfriend had hope for this series, but yea. Even she thought it looked cheap and had really really lame and bad scenes.

Sorry for bad grammar and typing!

    Blood on the Baltic sea

As someone who grew up in Sweden in the 80s and 90s, I practiclly lived on the Finish cruises as a kid - the buffets, the tax-free, the awkward dance floors, even the smell of the cabins. Watching Färjan brought it all back. The attention to detail is spot-on. I honestly felt like I was back on one of those ships, only this time with vampires waiting around the corner.

It's got the atmosphere of Stephen King small-town drama, except trapped on a boat instead of in Salems lot.

The best part is that the characters feels like the real people I used to see on those cruises - families, drunk partygoers, lonely souls. When the horror hits, it feels earned because you actually care.

For me it's both a nostalgic trip down memory lane and one hell of a terrifying ride. Absolute top tier.

    Let me out

What sounded like an interesting idea turned out to be a complete disaster.

Supposedly based on a book this adaptation is so poorly written and directed it makes you cringe.

Seldom have I heard such morinic dialogue in combination with soulless and lame directing.

But the worst part is its unoriginal and too close resemblance to Let the right one in. In comparison this feels like a dumb c movie meant for the garbage bin.

Who hired these so called creatives in the first place should be arrested.
