Trivia
The episode title is a play on "A Study in Scarlet", the novel which marks the first appearance of Sherlock Holmes & Dr Watson.

Goofs
All the characters pronounce victim's name "König" and victim's tattoo "rache" wrong. Including Sherlock, who speaks more than 10 languages fluently and should know how to read it correctly. Knowing a language and not having an accent are two different things.
