Halloween Baking Championship

This used to be a serious baking show. Now the contestants are expected to constantly talk to each other and the literal peanut gallery commentary is so irritating and annoying. Get back to basics. This may be the last time I see this show. It's a shame because nothing is more fun than creative Halloween baking.

My wife and I loved watching this show, until the latest season (11). The constant crying, whining and temper tantrums by the blonde lady is like nails on a chalkboard. I don't know what else is going on in the show because she is constantly taking all the attention! And it seems the judges always take it easy on her, they had to bake a scary cake and she made a happy toaster, they said nothing to her about that, the rest of the people they pinged them on that.

I've loved this show from the very beginning but this season 11 has been painful to watch. Watching Melanie's constant whining/crying and all the other fake drama is like what I assume stepping on a nest of water moccasins would be like. Please Please do better at casting these bakers so the fun is back in the show.

By far the worst of the holiday / seasonal baking shows. I've watched all the seasons. I get through them but there's too much expected of them in too little time so there is awkward fail after awkward fail that just isn't enjoyable to watch. The tacky judges costumes are so annoying. Seems the new season the judges are dressed normally so I'm glad about that.

It's a TV baking show. I am watching it to be wowed. Not to watch people struggle and make a mess.

I'm halfway through episode 2 and I just want to turn it off.

Used to be watching this show made me want to head to the kitchen and bake something because of all the new techniques and flavors I was l seeing.

No more. It's just chit chat. I know more about these bakers' families than I know about what they're baking. Very little actual baking. No creativity...just talking and then mistakes and then freak outs and then...it's over.

And the new format is confusing. So...they all bake in the first round and some wins $1,000. Then the bottom 3 have a bake for your life round. Meanwhile everyone not presenting their food stands up in a gallery where we get all their expressions and reactions.

That's it...this show is all about stories and tales and 'why I baked this!' Go back to actual...you know...baking...
