Mon jaai is a story of a group of friends who discusses about life and about their duties in this evil world. ZG plays the role of such an young man who faces corruption in this system. But he chooses the wrong way in life and then goes to heartbreak....
Mon jaai explicitly depicts the shallowness of today's youth, the laziness and the rebellious attitudes in the world. Among them was P. Margherita who chooses the right way becomes successful in life. But ZG and his group perverts their way and fails in happy life.
It is noteworthy that we all people are like ZG who are rebellious, dark in deep, uncomfortable, filled with insecurity, psychologically unstable, lack moral scrutiny that leads us to grief. That explains why millions could relate with ZG. He was their heart-throb. The film is mostly about the heart-throb's desires....
His desires was to call his favorite girl, talk with her about his emotions. Deep down he too wants a happy life with her. But his mind is too preoccupied with the ways of the world. He confuses self awareness with selfishness. So he reject selfishness and adopts to reform the society. This fails very miserably due to many reasons of emotional issues.
It's a realistic analysis of a youth who decides to build Rome in a day that impacts his life negatively. It's a film of pessimism so will give the dull feeling throughout. Nevertheless watch it as one of ZG's versatility. A 7/10. A 66/100.
