One Night Stand

Here in France the official propaganda is that we are a world leader, the best education, health system, that we know and do everything thus at the end that we should be thankful to our elite for living in a country on the cutting edge! Our exterior foreign views are for our old allies (and sometimes enemies) Britain and America and all the others country are small, irrelevant, old colonies and under developed! And so, movies we saw on TV or at screen are French, American and sometimes English: it's like the world is really how it appears in them and every body is happy…

Except that, if the curious citizen picks a Bollywood movie, he is amazingly stunned: it's India and Asia that are on the cutting edge and West looks old and decadent! In this movie, clothes, car, homes and places shines and are in style; Sure India looks conservative and prude for our western standard (this cheating movie is labeled adults only!) but maybe it's not a bad thing as every one looks more serious, clean and responsible. The movie lacks a bit of a nervous editing but it is well done: if the title is one night stand, we could add love-struck as well so we have the both feeling of the cheaters… Sure this plot has been done and undone but compare this one with the poor western look alike (american Dilemn or french Infidèles) and there is no difficulty to see its qualities! Sunny does a good job as the lost wife and her partner is convincing in his passionate spiral... So this is an excellent movie about a universal thematic and the production embarrasses our old western movies. The only disappointment is the ending credits that are totally irrelevant and aggressive for a movie that wasn't!

Just watched it for beautiful sunny Leone and the melodious songs.( and I'm sure most of us would watch it for the same reason)

Could've done much better. Put one star just for the good songs

This can be a typical Hollywood movie but Bollywood added some interesting twist ina addition of nice places of India.

The story is rather simple as its total duration of just 90 minutes as like a typical American romcom . In short you can see - Urvil - a man dating with a girl - Celina - in a far place and live for a short time till both -separately? - return home. Both are married As time passes he feels oore and more obsessed with her into a heart breaking story. IS it a romcom? Sorry but it is not !

Still a typical story you can think but still is it not. The story is much more with 'shocking twists' after neat the half of the movie when coincidences start to effect the movie that end into a very impressive moral and end . Shocking Music or sound is also help a non Indian as I to understand better what happens tough I think it is a bit pompous. Also many flashbacks as narrated by Urvil show his ever increased obsession that drive him mad. I think that it is better to watch the movie to understand what I mean.

Music is very nice and comes as a good interval after shocking scenes. Plot as shown is quite enough and possibly does not require any more polish

Sunny is good and acts just well. Tanuj is rather overacting in this role. Although is the star I think that Nyra -Urvil's wife -is more impressive or beautiful.

If you have given a thought to watch this movie, I bet it would be all because of Sunny and the title. But believe me , the movie is a total crap. Doesn't have a plot, neither good direction, awful acting combined with the typical sensual scenes from Bollywood and an item song. And after all the one and a half hour of hard work you do by sitting patiently waiting for that twist to come in and grab your attention, all you get is a bundle of disappointment and a punch from you subconscious for wasting your or your parent's hard-earned bucks on this. Hard on expectations, If looked deeply it has a good message and triesto convey a serious issue on the run in our country but is hardly able to do it. P.S. -This is one of the worst movies I have watched.

Why the hell was this movie made? Why the hell did i bother to even watch it (even though i had the comfort of FFwding thru it). Some questions in life have no answer. This is one of them. Like the title, the only action which takes is place is in the one night stand, which basically seems like a condom ad. And after that movie meanders on horribly. Will it go the Basic instinct way? no. Will it go the stalker way? hmm, no. basically nothing happens. and the ending also is tame. Sunny Leone is hopeless. Rest of the cast don't make any impact either. Technically it's nothing. No songs. This must be one of the few Nothing movies. Simply nothing stands out. Just a waste of time. Don't bother, unless you want to get some sleep.
