Lazy but not bad

Despite it's breathtaking visuals and presentation, Message in a Bottle struggles when it comes to containing a coherent plot.

As more elements to the story's mystery are introduced, the story itself becomes muddled, devolving into a mess. Many of the ideas posed in the film detract from each-other and could very well be their own movies.

What a shame, I found myself to be quite moved by it's visual presentation

This film has many great ideas but makes the mistake of trying to force them into on package. Effectively dooming all of them to never be properly developed.
