Coopers on the Run

Z has been dabbling in major films, and I thought she might be getting tired of Disney work, so I was sort of expecting K.C. Undercover to take a dive, but I was wrong. This show just got better if you can believe it's possible.

It takes place in Brazil, and they actually got some Brazilian actors. One actor who plays a local bad guy is a mineiro. And the Brazilian words they use, they actually pronounce them pretty close to correctly. And one Carnival scene it was obvious they spent a lot of time on the costumes. They're not phoning it in. They're not sitting on a good show with a huge superstar. I mean, they're really putting a lot of effort into making this show even better.

The character development is good too. K.C. is still the tomboyish yet breathtakingly beautiful big sister. Ernie is still the dorky little brother who can't seem to get a girl to like him. And the mom they're making her beautiful now. In the Carnival scene I couldn't take my eyes off of her. But they're making Duane Wayne look like a buffoon which I don't like. I'd rather see him portrayed as a cool, loving dad like they did in the past.

In this episode they feature China Anne McClain as a psychotic agent for "The Other Side". I hadn't seen her since A.N.T. Farm, and I didn't recognize her at first.
