The Unwonted Sasquatch

I honestly didn't know too much about the subject. It just seemed interesting, but this documentary surpassed my expectations. Great interviews and take on the subject. I would recommend it for newbies or more experienced enthusiasts just looking for a good time.

Sad. Just plainly and simply sad. Not only regarding the time and effort (and perhaps some money?) spent by the "producers" of this "documentary" about a fantasy, but specifically the sycophant crowd buying into this pseudoscientific cryptozoology tale aimed at credulous fanatics finding an as fringe support group for their pet delusion in particular. No science, no skepticism, no critical thinking required; just take in the bait with hook, line and sinker and - why the hell not - the float, too, and let yourself be drawn to the surface as the limp and apathetic fish brain you are. Just don't claim you can't see the pole.

I understand this is a kick-starter, so you expect a certain quality. Even so, audio sync issues, dropped transition frames, sloppy zooms, and far too much time spent on feet than many other aspects they could have tackled. Regardless if Bigfoot is real or not, this documentary is poorly done. There are far better alternatives out there that are better produced and present the evidence in more interesting ways. If you're already a believer, this may even leave you disappointed. If you're skeptical, there's no way you'll walk away from this with a changed perspective. Save yourself the trouble, and don't bother with this one. It feels more like a YouTube documentary, than anything I'd pay to see. Luckily if you have amazon prime, you won't have to. Even so, skip it.

This was a fun watch.I didn't expect to actually make it thru the whole film... how much more is there to say about Big Foot -- but I couldn't turn it off. The sub-par production value actually contributed to the whole viewing experience for me. it almost felt like a found footage experiment. There's a pretty in depth examination of the dated Patterson film - which I found fascinating - and meshed well with the faulty sound and hand-held camera. I enjoyed it. a good way to spend a winter weekend.

Fun view. Lots of good informations. Makes a good intro into the subject.
