The Cascadia Treasure

I have seen some bad ones in my time but every now and then, one that is so horrible comes along that makes me reconsider my life choices.

This movie has one major issue first and foremost, one issue that is so in your face it overshadows all the other bad things.

Drum roll reveal, the issue is the cast. This is some of the worst acting i have ever seen consistently across each person. It is on levels so unimaginatively bad reason escapes me how it is possible to be this bad. Not a single person cast can be stomached. Watching this is torture as it features the most abysmal acting i have ever seen. The dialogue is bad too as written but there is no excuse for how it is delivered, how the sound is captured, shots framed.. everything just compounds to exacerbate the worst acting of the decade.

Very poor special effects completely ridiculous at times. Watch out for the bit where one of the main characters throws a rope across a ravene and it magically clips onto a tree at the other side!

We were tired of watching big budget bad movies so we decided to look for a low budget kids looking for treasure flick. This movie filled the requirement. It's cute, inoffensive, filled with errors but it wasnt awful. A safe movie for just about any age group.

If you are looking for a nice family film to watch with young children this could be your film. Let's face it's hard to find stuff to watch that you can see with your kids. I will tell you my likes and my dislikes. I love treasure hunting films. This is the basic we're going to lose the family farm if we don't get some serious loot type of scenarios. There is a cute couple, there's a ghost, there is action, explosions, and there is treasure and a nice happy ending. However,, the problem I have with family and even Christian entertainment is that they can be boring. This is just a little above that. If you are looking for a Indiana Jones film this is not it. Just a warning there are parts of this movie that are as sleepy as parts of the title. With that said, .I would call this watchable. Everything is off from the, villains who have been written as unintelligent buffoons, and Insipid orchestration, There is not going to be a golden globe won with this film. Never the less, the film location and cinematography are not half bad. If I had to rate this..I would say it's a little lower than a hallmark movie.

They lost me in the first 5 minutes. There is a tractor scene where she is suppose to be plowing. Here are all the errors: 1) You do not shift a tractor on the go. You put it in gear and leave it there. 2) The plow was not in the ground. 3) She breaks a shear pin on the plow by hitting something, AND IT WASN'T in the ground. Why can't these movie companies use a person who knows at least basics of the subject they are filming?
