The US is trying to obtain nuclear arms that are in Pakistan. The Russians who were suppose to help them, pull out. Murphy station is also in Pakistan looking for Desai. They were told to pull out when things got hairy but they decide to stay. They find Desai but they are trapped. So Elizabeth tries to find a way to get them out and she's offered help from the Chinese. She also learns there's a problem at her daughter's school in regards to a trip she wants to go on but because Elizabeth didn't sign the permission slip she might not go. She tries to fix it but she doesn't have a good relationship with the the school's Principal. The Russians approach her asking for a traitor and they offer something she didn't expect.
