This was so disappointing for me. I was so excited to finally see this movie and it was kind of dull. The start was very cute but the whole thing feels like vignette loosely put together. I would have preferred more of a build up to their feelings. I didn't even understand why they liked each other at the start, it just seemed like "oh we have sang together 3 times, let's date because I love you with all my heart marry me". It was very sudden.
I think if we spent more time seeing why Kusakebe was so infatuated with Sajo. I wanted to feel why they fell for each other and why they meant so much to each other.
Sometimes I think because we are starved of this type of content we will forgive flaws but I just see so much story here that we never got.

Characters that exist beyond their relationship and don't need desperately to get laid nor someone to complete themselves, very interesting design and transitions between chapters, with well placed metaphors. These are, for me, the great technical features of the anime - even though the story isn't that unique, it doesn't make the experience of watching it any worse.
This gave me lots of heartwarming emotions. They started felling in love unreasonably, but that's what love is. Along the movie, it gradually let's see their love development through the passing seasons. Althrough they had some conflicts, they are normal conflict that any couple could ever has.
Even through I wasn't in to it for a few of times since their personalities were like me with my boyfriend that I wasn't in to, like one was very in love and not preparing for his future, and another one is a diligent guy thinking about his future, I feel they really like each other, and I think they can improve themselves together.

I do not remember a ton about this movie as I watched it in 8th grade but it is very sweet and lovely and a lot less fetishizy than some mlm anime tends to be. The animation is very lovely and the art style is unique and pretty too and I remember liking this movie quite a lot!!

You know how a movie can soften the audience on a certain sensitive topic? Well look no further! This is the best anime to soften the hearts of the audience in regard to homosexuality. What I love and adore about it is that it shows the common relationship struggles that we all face but in the life of homosexual's couple. Homosexuality is perfectly normalized. This is how I wish the real world would be in the future.
To be honest, the art style did not intrigue me at all at first; however, the storyline portrayed in the trailer won me over! The story is just pure and lovely. There is no big coming out gesture or a huge drama regarding sexuality.
