Watching "Hillary's America", it's blindingly evident that Dinesh D'Souza's really mad at the Obama Administration. I think "butthurt" is what the kids are calling it these days. Hard to argue against that when you open your movie by recounting your imprisonment over campaign finance transgressions; those scenes are utter self-victimization. From there, it's fifty minutes of exposing the Democratic party's sinister history of slavery and oppression. D'Souza's sick of the Republicans being called racists, I get it. He doesn't even get around to Hillary until over an hour in; and even then, it's just an excuse to get Planned Parenthood in his crosshairs. It's all over the map.
Clearly, this is not for me. Hell, I can't even recommend this to anyone because it has no redeeming value. Facts are eschewed in favor of cheap reenactments, and all he knows how to do is beat you over the head with the same message. Subtlety is not one of his virtues. This is good for a few laughs in the beginning, but it becomes a real endurance test soon after. Give the man credit for nabbing the highest-grossing documentary honor for what is thinly-veiled propaganda, but he is an awful filmmaker.

Watching as blank wall is more entertaining than viewing this movie. This basically a movie version of a wiki page, a really bad, poorly made, and deceptive wiki page, maybe Conservative Wiki. Bad history, bad reenactments, terrible wigs and costumes, and direction that is either absent, or incompetent.
Sorry, but the actress who plays Hilary is terrible, really over the top and cackling. I don't blame her as much as I blame the director who told her to play it this way. I', an actor, and I know actors are tools of the directors.
Avoid anything by convicted felon D'Souza, he's just telling his tiny audience what they want to hear.

Yikes, everyone. What is going on here? This is another hastily slapped together documentary by a filmmaker who in his previous film presented himself as knowing exactly what President Obama was subconsciously thinking/dreaming about his father, with absolutely no supporting evidence; just pure speculation and subjectivity. In several interviews when he went on his promotional tour, Dinesh D. was never able to even remotely defend the key points of his book/film, even when he had repeated opportunities to get his story straight. So now he's doing something similar: demonizing Ms. Clinton just as he tried to make everyone fear Obama's alleged ingrained anti-colonialism. Of course, you can say anything about anyone, doesn't mean it's true. Unless there is real evidence. Not conspiracy nonsense.
Look, if you're willing to give this film 10 stars, you realize your review is vacuous since your putting it on par with classic films like the Shawshank Redemption and Goodfellas... Seriously? It's stuff like this that makes me sad and wonder if this country will ever get it together...

If Dinesh D'Souze had served a longer prison sentence he wouldn't have had time to put together another disinformation piece. He should find honest work somewhere.
He hates liberals and Democrats, and he writes dishonest books and puts together bad films which he calls documentaries. In reality, they are feature-length lies.
This particular pack of lies purports to reveal the hidden truth about Hillary Clinton and the Democrats - timed for release so that he could have some impact on the election in November. This is exactly the same tactic Dinesh used when he released the Obama film which should have been subtitled: "Reasons I hate Obama and baloney I made up about him to make you vote for the other guy." The Obama film did some box office, unlike his Hillary film. There are a lot of Fox News viewers, Breitbart readers, and right wing haters of the United States, and this film is for them. It is a film for people who do not read, who are looking for someone to blame for their own circumstances and who believe that liberals have ruined their lives.
A number of irresponsible and untrue allegations are leveled at the Clintons. Proof? Proof? He don't need no stinking proof. He never has the goods. He just makes stuff up for the gullible.
I gave this film a 1, because the scale does not allow for negative numbers.

Going into this film, I knew it was going to be a one-sided conservative hit piece. Fine. Many of the claims D'Souza makes are ultimately true, though some are exaggerated more than others. However, he of course does not criticize "his side", who are just as corrupt as the Democratic Party. While a lot of it certainly is factual, he omits a lot of facts that pertain to what he is discussing. He paints the picture that Republicans are and have always been noble, do-no-wrong saints in the political world. Someone could make a similar movie about the "Secret History of the Republican Party" as well, put them together, then you have "The History of the Corruption and Corporatization of the American Political System" - a more accurate portrayal. Let's be real folks, the D's and R's have done this together, and only divide the population who ultimately have the same interests using the issues that D'Souza talks about in this film - race, abortion, guns, etc.
