It's like 'Birdemic' with better effects but no charm.
First some praise, most of the effects are practical and the gore (body parts in particular) are decent especially for such a low budget film. Also it's only 70 mins, so like ripping off a very sticky and painfully stubborn bandage. Now, for the negatives, story was bland, acting was abhorrent, dialogue was somehow both boring and confusing, characters were two-dimensional if any dimension and the monster is just a gator-boy. Like 'Jaws' (a bit too much like, even referencing it) the main driving point is the interactions and struggles the characters face with each other rather than the monster itself. In order to do that you need believable and interesting characters and dialogue which this film has neither. Every conversation is hurried, with little pause in-between one another's sentences, leaving little time for the audience to process what was just said, as if it actually matters. The dialogue is either exposition or really poor attempts to add flavor to a character, and is delivered with the enthusiasm as an oak tree. I can probably prattle on about how bad the monster is, or how conveniently lazy the story is at progress its plot but I won't. This movie already took up enough of my time. A so bad it's boring kind of film.
are you kidding me!?
My grade school nephew made a better film for a class project. 4.5 stars!? hell no! guy get told his son was ate, his reaction is to calmly say go find him!? I tried to give this movie and I use the term movie very loosely a chance.. but no.. just no...the rolling end credits are better this crap.
Nonsensical. Terrible Acting. Good for some laughs.
This is not a good movie in the traditional sense. Production quality is comparable to a group of high schoolers doing a class project. The actors appear to have been randomly selected from the families and friends of the people involved in the project. Special effects consist of implying someone is about to be killed, then cutting to blood being splashed on a wall. But where it lacks in quality, it makes up for in campy goodness, intentional or not. If that's your thing, you'll like this movie. Or you won't. Hard to say.
Thank you all for your reviews
Hi Guys, thank you all for your reviews. I truly appreciate them all, good and bad.
It will certainly helps me with my future productions.
Yes, It is a low budget film with some slapstick gore and humor thrown in the mix, but we had a ton of fun filming.
I re-edited Crocodylus, Directors Cut that is now available on Amazon Prime.
Thank you again
Namaste
Oh please let me leave a zero star rating!!!!
No spoilers here... just let the movie spoil on its own. Absolutely horrible movie! Bad script, bad acting, bad effects, ...just an all around BAD movie! I can't even tell you where it went bad, because it started out that way and just got worse! I am hoping that I can leave a zero star rating so that the actual one star movies are able to distinguish themselves from crap like this. How anyone could give this movie more than one star (and there would need to be a close relative in it before I did) is so far beyond possible for a viewer that was conscious that it would be like using a goldfish to flim a Meg sequel. Good premiss... but it thoroughly missed the mark. It isn't even good enough to say that it was so bad it was funny. This movie is a trajic waste of money, film, and time. Avoid it at all cost.
