After last week's debacle of an episode, Infantino Street picked up a bit with a few minor faults. Is Iris really dead? How will Barry stop Savitar now? And will Barry end up trapped in the speed force? I think the show has telegraphed most of the questions left unanswered, but hopefully the finale can still live up to the hype.
So Iris was officially killed off, at least for now. I've said from the start that the boldest thing this show could do is kill off the love of Barry Allen's life, but I'm not sure it will end up being the smartest move. That is, if she doesn't come back next episode. To my understanding, Barry must find a way to beat Savitar without time remnants and without giving into the anger that will be burning inside of him. If he doesn't do those things, then won't Savitar never be born? Clearly, this season has been about Barry being the villain to his own story, and how a lot of his choices to this point have been selfish. So to make the season come full circle, I think it only makes sense to have Barry trap himself in the speed force to further prevent Savitar from ever living? That way, the speed force could recognize Barry's sacrifice and reward him with Iris life. It just seems like something this show would do.
The rest of the episode was actually pretty fun, albeit with the dark undertone of Iris' death lingering. Bringing back Captain Cold for the heist of all heist was a fun addition and I'm glad it wasn't something that overshadowed the mission at hand (like the last episode did). Wentworth Miller's performance has grown on me over the years and I think I enjoy his presence more when he's not the over-the-top comic-booky villain and more of an anti-hero. Throw in a brief appearance by King Shark and we had ourselves a fun little episode. I will say though, I didn't totally buy into Lyla changing her mind about giving Barry the powerful device he tried to steal. It just didn't seem like the logical thing for her character to do.
This was a much better episode than last week's tonally off episode. Killing Iris off was a bold move, although I wasn't a huge fan of her last message for Barry, especially being played simultaneously with her death. Not the best editing work, but the episode was solid enough to ramp up my excitement for next week. I'm still betting on Iris being alive by episode's end and Barry trapping himself in the speed force on purpose to make the ultimate sacrifice.

First things first, Season 3 is a level higher than Season 1&2. Unlike Season 2 it was something that Flash doesn't lose himself and the team.
Secondly, I loved the song buy Aurora Aksnes...its just so beautifully sung. I hope she win some nice awards and wish her the best in the future.
Next, for how long Barry protects his love. What extreme measures you would do to protect the love of your life? Grant Gustin's performance has grown on me over the years- it is really expressive and on target. A little fun episode including King Shark and Snart. The horrific tune when Future Flash arrives was outstanding.
Finally, kudos to Michael A. Allowitz. Hats off to Greg Berlanti also for creating such an episode. He chooses emotions over action. The acting was awesome. I almost cried after getting absorbed by the song. :P

This episode would have been a 10 if it wasn't for Captain Moron who literally ruins any scene he's in. The actor's over the top hamminess is awful and nauseous to see. Truly the worst character in the DC Universe; even topping the abomination that is HR. Hopefully it is he who is dead and not someone else. Other than these two obnoxious characters, it was an outstanding episode with a lot of emotional moments and a jaw dropping ending. Let's hope they end the season on a perfect note and kill smarmy Snark again ( if only ).

Re-watching these early seasons and going back, especially to this episode, is such a breath of fresh air man. This episode was damn near perfection fam. Everything about it, the music, the tone, the acting, everything, was just perfect man.
Seeing what the show has become as of today is honestly sad to see man. Used to be one of the best thing on tv.
But ye, what an episode fam; 10/10.
