"What happened to my father, was unfortunate, but business is business"

"When my dear husband closes a door, he opens a door, I think it's just opened" so said Lucifer and Amenadiel's mum, when her son Lucifer expressed his desire in no uncertain terms, to make his future on earth in the city of angels Los Angeles.

Now that the dear doctor Linda Martin has finally realised that her patient, Lucifer Morningstar has not being speaking metaphorically, she seems keen to get the inside track on all matters metaphysical.

Well let's face it what other therapist can actually claim to have the Devil as a professional client, not that she can actually claim it on her resume, without risking being a patient herself that is.

I really like the relatively recent new arrival in the form of Ella Lopez the LAPD forensic boffin, she is a wondrous bundle of infectious humanity, quintessentially American in her habitual desire for hugs.

She is someone who has obviously found her calling, with a dark sense of fun, and a real nerd in the form of being a Trekkie.

The latest LAPD case involved the death of Dean Cooper, the business tycoon who owns Lux Lucifer's empire, unfortunately for him the link doesn't end with work, it carried over to his home where Cooper's son, was awaiting his return to hand him his eviction notice.

Detective Decker has always been annoyed with Lucifer's, preoccupation with his own interests, but she can also be so swept up in herself that, she literally can't see the wood for the trees.

As she stupidly demanded of Lucifer "when were you going to inform me, of your interest in this case?" Well doh misses he shouldn't have to spell it out to you, if you had a modicum of common sense, the owner of Lucifer's home Lux has been murdered, so of course he is interested in it.

Is this latest murder simply just another in the city's turbulent history, or has it rather more of an ethereal dimension about it, of course the 'Mother of Creation' can't possibly admit to Mazikeen, that she is actually behind the murder or that it is part of, her cunning plan to convince Lucifer to finally decide to leave LA.

If Lucifer's mum has absolutely nothing whatsoever with any scheme to evict her son, why is her earthly persona Charlotte Richards so keen become the lawyer, of every low life that the police are investigating in relation to the murder?

Just what does Charlotte Richards want with Detective Daniel Espinoza, God's ex may not have spent much time on earth as a human, but she is most certainly not slow on the uptake, and she is clearly learning what makes mortal males tick.
