This episode is pretty odd, as it features Gumball noticing that Tobias gives a high five and then slaps the butt of anyone he greets. He becomes jealous when he notices Tobias doesn't do this to him specifically. Yeah, it's pretty obvious this was meant to have some gay overtones. I find it funny how Gumball is the only cartoon character in the shows I watch that has a girlfriend. He also happens to be the dumbest (but not to the point where he's an idiot), meanest (but not to the point where he's a jerk), and according to this episode, gayest (but not...oh whatever). It's still a great episode.
It wasn't meant to be anti-gay or anything, obviously. It's just joking about how some people take greetings too seriously. The funniest part of this episode is, without a doubt, when Gumball hallucinates Tobias. He sees him as a multi-colored llama. He even refers to him as looking like rainbow colored cotton. I never understood what Tobias even WAS. I guess rainbow colored cotton is the closest I'll get to an answer. Another great bit was Gumball's butt stretching. I assume this kid just has stretching powers. ***1/2
