The shows plot is really heating up and I'm here for it, nice to get some background on Frank and the operation he was working within.
The Punisher is vastly over-rated.
Amazingly dumb dialogue, stupid actions taken by the lead and other characters... VERY shallow, no insight or intelligence, particularly about the supposed basis of The Punisher's life and drama: military, espionage, etc. Actors suffer from not having strong writing and researched basis for the stories.
This is an example of the worst of comic book action heroes (antiheroes) adapted to the screen.
It's crap, but apparently it works well enough to satisfy the executives of Netflix who know the bottom of the mas market.

Another step down as this is essentially a single-location episode featuring an interrogation padded out with lots and lots of flashbacks. I'm not a fan of flashbacks and I hate the way American TV relies on them so much.
The scenes trying to develop characters falls short. It attempts to be intellectual, but it falls short. The plot and innuendos fall short. Basically, it is boring dialogue that leads up to the Punisher getting angry and killing people.
"Kandahar" is one of the darkest episodes in this series. It is mostly centered in Frank's memories of his team in Afganistan. What I love about this series is the character development, perhaps a bit slow for some, but for me, it is done perfectly as you'll see in "Kandahar". We got to meet a new character, David Lieberman, a hacker who calls himself "Micro". We got to know more about him, as to why he is interested on Frank, as both stories are connected. Also, in this episode we're introduced to what seems to be another new character who looks that gonna be important here. All in all, "Kandahar" is one of the best episodes in the season, very dark and interesting as I said above, due to new characters development. And let me tell you something, it ends with one of the best fight scenes I've seen since Daredevil. So, as you see, you will not be disappointed.
I really like how this series is going, and seems we are just beginning the journey.
