Pay no attention to the Siskel & Ebert mini-me wannabes that have written extremely negative reviews of this show. These are people who think they the smartest person in the room, but have their heads shoved so far up their backsides that their two operating brain cells do reign supreme in that dank environment.
This is a very entertaining and light-hearted show. If you want an angst ridden, depressing crime show, Criminal Minds is still around. But this is a show created by the same team that brought us Castle, and it shows. It's not as polished yet, but Castle was a little shaky in its early days, also.
Rachel Bilson shines with her bubbly comic personality, as usual. Eddie Cibrian is new to me, but their chemistry works well together. The stories are good, but could be better. About standard fare for a summer replacement.
I'm hoping this show gets renewed, but I'm not too hopeful. Channing Dungey, the President of ABC is one of the stupidest executives in any business in the history of the world. She has cancelled so many promising shows, and proves she doesn't know what she's doing.

People, people, why so negative? This isn't a serious show. The premise alone, the idea that an actress gives up Hollywood for private investigation work is preposterous haha. That said the show works. Sure it's follows a similar script as any other cop show, but the two leads, and I'm sorry I can't remember her name or his, but they both excell. They're funny. They have chemistry. It's not 24; walking dead; or ER. But that's ok. I say give it a chance people.
The pilot of this new show was a bit messy but enough to get me interested and enough to make me get a dvr pass for the show, I am a huge fan of Castle which was also quite messy in the first season.
Give it a chance people, Bilson is quite charming in this role and now that we no longer have Becket on the force, maybe this will take off.

This show is no Castle, but it's still a good show. I think Rachel Bilson is really funny, the part was well cast. And Eddie Cibrian plays his part well and is very easy on the eyes!!!! Bit of a slow start but it gets better. Episode 7 is the best so far with episode 8 a close second.
I haven't read the other reviews, but I think this show is great. It's funny, has a touch of will they/won't they, and lays out a good mystery per show. It's not serious or heavy, just something fun to watch if you like crime shows and comedies.
