Judith: [kissing Toon smack on the mouth] There, that should save us a lot of mindless chatter.

[a stranger aggressively kisses Toon on the lips, leaving Toon stunned]
Judith: You're right, that's a nice jacket. I always do this with lots of alcohol. I think I'll have some wine. How about you?

Toon: Sorry, I don't know if I'm really the person you're looking for.
Judith: No, you don't, but you could also flip it around: What if you ARE? Right?

Judith: I wouldn't have approached you instantly.
Toon: No.
Judith: And that's okay. Maybe it's good to not go for the perfect body for once, because, God knows, that strategy brought me a lot of misery - not that I believe in God, by the way.

Judith: Say you were taking some medication, medicine that helps you function just so you're a bit nicer to yourself and those around you - and it works really well, let's just say - and just say it has a negative side-effect on your... libido. As in... gone.
Toon: Yeah.
Judith: Gone.
Toon: Mm-hm.
Judith: What would you do? On the one hand it helps, but...
Toon: So, hypothetically, yeah?
Judith: Yes, no. Purely hypothetically, but I'm curious what you think, being a doctor.
Toon: Oh, you're... Are you a doctor?
Judith: No, you are, right?

Judith: [sitting together in Toon's apartment] Are you experiencing this silence as awkward or as comfortable?
Toon: Awkward.
Judith: Okay. I thought it was just me again, but I guess that's not the case.
Toon: No. It was a very awkward silence.
Judith: I guess it makes sense. Maybe we shouldn't have gone straight to your place, but I mean, on the other hand, it would have happened anyway.
Toon: Yeah.
Judith: So if that's the case, we might as well just fuck right now, right?
[pause]
Toon: Hm?

Toon: It's always like this with me. Things go very quickly and then... I look at things from all sides and then wonder what I'm going to do; and, when I make a decision, everything has changed already... and then... then...
[the doorbell rings]
Toon: The doorbell suddenly rings.
Judith: How did you know that?
Toon: I didn't. That's just how it always goes.
