Delightful!!
Oh, how completely and utterly delightful! I loved the animation, the characters and the story. It was funny, adventurous and even action-packed. Animated films also usually have that deeper meaning to them, and in this instance it is family values. This was fantastic.
This is a cute animated film
Son of Bigfoot is a surprisingly charming and heartfelt animated film that delivers far more warmth and creativity than you would expect from a lesser-known studio. While it doesn't come from giants like Disney or DreamWorks, it still manages to create a colorful, engaging world that feels alive and inviting. From the very beginning, the film leans into a playful tone while balancing emotional depth, making it a solid family film that doesn't talk down to its audience.
The story follows a young teen named Adam who discovers that his long-lost father is none other than the legendary Bigfoot. Instead of turning this into a scary or overly serious creature feature, the film chooses to embrace a lighthearted and adventurous spirit. This decision works in its favor, allowing the mythology of Bigfoot to feel fresh, fun, and approachable. The father-son dynamic becomes the heart of the movie, giving it emotional grounding that keeps the story moving with purpose and sincerity.
Visually, the animation is bright, smooth, and highly expressive. The character designs are playful without being lazy, and the environments feel textured and lived-in. The animation style may not be groundbreaking, but it's polished enough to feel cinematic, colorful, and energetic. There's a real sense of momentum in the action sequences, and the quieter moments allow the characters' emotions to land clearly, which is especially important in a story driven by family and identity.
The screenplay works especially well for its target audience of younger viewers. The dialogue is funny without being obnoxious, and the pacing keeps things moving without becoming overwhelming. It doesn't try to be overly complex or pretentious. Instead, it focuses on clear emotional beats, simple humor, and a storyline that feels cohesive. The film also does a good job of blending comedy with heart, making sure the emotional moments never feel forced or manipulative.
The supporting characters add extra layers of fun, bringing in comic relief and helping Adam's journey feel fuller. At the same time, the film never loses sight of its central relationship. The director clearly understood that the emotional anchor of the story needed to be the bond between father and son, and that focus pays off. The film's tone remains consistent throughout, avoiding the chaos that sometimes hurts other animated features.
Overall, Son of Bigfoot is a genuinely enjoyable animated adventure that delivers charm, heart, and family-friendly fun. It may not reinvent the genre, but it doesn't need to. It succeeds because it understands its audience and delivers a story that is sweet, visually engaging, emotionally sincere, and easy to love. It's the kind of film that kids can watch repeatedly and adults can appreciate for its heart and strong message about family and belonging.

fine for kids
Awkward high school student Adam Harrison is often bullied. He has unusual growth spurts especially in his hair. He discovers a stash of letters from his father whom he had assumed to be dead. He tracks down his father who looks like Bigfoot. It turns out that the father has been hiding from hair-obsessed Wallace Eastman who owns HairCo. In addition to hair growth, Adam discovers that he gained animal speech and fast running as other Bigfoot skills.
I'm not that excited about this animated movie. The hair obsessed story is a bit silly. I would have prefer that Adam stayed at school and having to deal with the repercussion of his new self with all the other kids. He could be Teen Wolf, the movie. Instead, this all feels a little silly and that's fine for kids.

Very good movie
This movie was very good, the story was good. A good experience for the whole family. The characters were really funny and had good chemistry. There were a lot of nice moments both between the characters and also with the stunning nature. There are some clichés in this movie. You will get a good laugh of this movie anyway.
