    Flop but kinda good?

    Okay, I know this reboot flopped. And it's not even slightly as good as the original franchise. But it is still watchable and...different.

    Horrible

    I absolutely hate the reboot. It's so girly and so boring. This is the worst Monster High movie I've ever seen.

    Not really 10 star but need to add it to bring the unfair average up

    I just watched this with my 5 year old daughter and she loved it.

    It's the same as the old series with admittedly a few changes to the origin.

    The animation is much better and more effort seems to have been made to character development.

    As stated I don't really feel this a 10 star film (more like 6/7) but as there are only a few reviews I found the average unfair.

    Horrible

    Not only was the plot line changed and characters erased, but the existing characters' personalities changed as well. Watching this movie, it's very obvious it's a last ditch effort to save their franchise. This barely even relates to the original. Bring old MH back.

    Good for toddlers

    My daughter recently fell in love with monster high but I felt the cartoon show was a little too mature for her. She's 4 and I don't feel she needs to know about "boyfriends" and "dating" so I was so happy to find this movie for her to watch because it was perfect for her! I also didn't mind sitting and watching it with her. It's just a cute monster high movie.

      The premise for Welcome to Monster High actually contradicts a lot facts stated in previous monster high movies and webisodes. The original webisodes "New Ghoul @ School" shows Frankie entering an already established Monster High and meeting the other ghouls once there rather than being part of the school's construction. Freaky Fusion also puts the school at around 200 years old, having been established in 1814, much earlier than the events that take place in Welcome to Monster High.
