Thodari/Rail (2016): Prabhu Soloman is known for his natural love stories set in unusual situations and down-to-earth characters.His notable films Kumki,Kayal,Mynaa have got critical acclaim and success.For the first time Prabhu got a chance to direct a big star like Dhanush and he selected an unusual subject (which is a complete rip off of Unstoppable(2010)). How is Thodari??

Plot: A cafeteria worker Poochiyapan (Dhanush) is serving the passengers of an ill-fated train traveling from Delhi to Chennai.In journey,he meets Saroja (Keerthy Suresh) a Malayali girl who is an assistant of popular actress.Then, there's the Central Minister Rangaraj (Radha Ravi) and his security guard Commando Nandhakumar (Harish Uthaman). But unfortunately,the driver of the train succumbs to a heart attack and at the same time, a bunch of miscreants enter the train with plans to loot the passengers.Thus the train becomes unstoppable without anyone to stop it.Did anyone stopped it??Is Poochiyappan's and Saroja love is successful??

Plus Points:

1)Dhansh: I think this is the most mediocre performance of Dhanush in his career but surprisingly his mediocre performance is the only saving grace of this movie.Karunakaran is decent with his performance even when he failed in comedy.

Minus Points:

Except Dhanush,Thodari is a complete disaster.It is a complete rip off of Unstoppable and Prabhu Solomon spoiled its thrill entirely with silly comedy and scenes.VFX and music are terrible.Keerthy Suresh and Thambi Ramayya are irritating at their best,

SO,Thodari is one of the worst movies of all time. Dhanush's forgettable nightmarish film of his career.

Worst movie of Dhanush I have seen till date. Girl is dumb than dumber. If you don't know how to copy a movie than don't do that. You don't have original stories and you sucks at copying and after that you want to enter a lovestory in already worst movie. Totally unacceptable.

Fantastic Performance from Dhanush, Keerthi Suresh and from full crew and A massive CG work and Direction.

Comedy + Romance + Thrill + Performance + Enjoyment = Thodari.

A Good Family Entertainer.The first half was little bit long and few boring scenes , but the second half was massive and even the script belongs to 2nd half totally.

The running time nearly 2 hrs 45 min is very big. If the Screenplay was tight the film would be much better. And back to performance it was very clean and full dedicated performance from total crew. For me the Character SAROJA was the best from Keerthi Suresh in her Career and Dhanush and Thambi Ramaiah screen presence was fantastic.

Vedict : Watch D30 for Performance and Team work and once again for Dhanush.

First half is entertaining with comedy and romance. Thambi Ramaiyah and Karunakaran comedy performance was entertaining enough to make the audience laugh. Romance portions was decent but reminded many old movies especially romance background music. Dhanush's performance was good as usual as a pantry boy with natural face expressions and dialogues. Keerthi Suresh's performance was good enough but felt over acting is some portions of movie. Songs were good but two songs' placement was quite awkward. Stunt could have been better and CGI is decent but can be better too. Movie's editing is nice. Those cuts are pretty impressive. Second half of the movie is much more thrilling and pulse raising. Happy ending of the movie is one of the biggest plus points of the movie. In overall Thodari is a neat entertainer in a fast moving train (quite different from others). The movie is much more better than the hopeless promotions and trailer.

As a South movie, THODARI is a great movie. That is not a Hollywood movie. Most of the south movie is mostly emphasize on humor and Indian masala. THODARI is not an exception to that. The people who don't understand that need not to see any South movie.
