This show is determined to break my heart every episode, and this one certainly had so many hard to watch moments, we see a new character that sheds light on why Fitz the way he is, we meet a returning character whose smile brings joy into this world, but that joy don't last because we end up losing a character in a very meaningful and heartbreaking way.
There are quite few deep themes addressed in this episode, and the arc as a whole, about choice, and if your circumstances make you who you are and I really love every minute of it.

This one I thought would never end. I'm sure these last episodes have been two or three hours long. Interminable.
I'm so glad I didn't switch off during the painful seasons 2-3. Not that they were bad, but with the array of quality programming available ones viewing time becomes a premium.
This season feels like the producers, writers, even the (already pretty good) actors all stepped up to the challenge and are saving this show from 'meh'. Wow! Episode 15 'Self Control' blew me away and it's gradually mainatained the high standard. Thought that episode may be a unicorn but the subsequent ones have been great and this has me scampering to write a review. There are finally stakes that really matter and the pacing is phenomenal.
Please please please keep this up. This is the new bar for AOS. Long may it continue (see what I did there?! ;)

By far one of the saddest episodes in the series! Mace was just becoming one of my favourites...
