    Re-watch thoughts

Another great episode, I remember at first I felt the superior was a lame villain, but this episode kinda makes it seem intentional, as Coulson ridicules him for his conspiracy theories. and considering where his character goes from here I think it all works. I loved the flashbacks in this episode, even though they aren't as effective as other flashbacks the show has done, they are really fun. The episode ends on a huge cliffhanger, setting the stage for arguable the best episode of the show! on re-watch I noticed a lot of the details I missed the first time about how certain events took place. the whole thing is subtle and the clues are all there. this is one episode that really demonstrate the writers willingness to trust the audience to pick up clues and not feel the need to explian every detail for us.

Mack is So Self Righteous It Drives Me Crazy

I've been trying to hold out but I can't any longer. Mack is the worst character on the show. He is so self righteous. Questioning everyone else's motives but his own. Now he's going at my boy Fitz over technology. When Mack has used Fitz's tech multiple times to save himself. I can't stand Mack. I hope he takes a bullet really soon. Get him off the show. He's such a loser. Elena deserves better and he knows it. He's a big pansy. And the most self righteous hypocrite character I've ever seen.

    • Trivia
When Agent May of the past is talking about the man she's been going on dates with, she mentions he's a shrink. This can be inferred that she was courting her future ex-husband, Andrew, who is a therapist.
    • Quotes

Phil Coulson: All of these things you've done, all of the energy spent, the hatred. You know what the funny thing about it is? I have no idea who the hell you are. I've been on hundreds of missions in my time. This one you're so upset about? I was sent to retrieve an object. And being honest, I don't even remember what it was. As far as I'm concerned, you're just another red shirt like so many others who tried unsuccessfully to stop me from saving the world . 'Cause that's what I do. So... cool origin story, bro, but this means nothing to me.
