The buddy magic's really starting to kick in

I've made this comparison before, but I see so much of "The Good Guys" in this series. And just like Stark and Bailey, Riggs and Murtaugh get assigned the little cases before things blow wide open. It's one of the show's virtues that so much time is spent developing the characters in between shootouts. If "Lethal Weapon" has legs, it's because of this particular partnership.

To that end, this week features a few good one-liners, and the opening armored car heist was a nice nod to "Heat". It's another episode that made me smile and that makes it easy to give this show a chance.

After Roger receives an important text message on his cellphone, Roger decides he needs to go based on text message and Trish decides to stay to finish the wine. Roger picks up cellphone from table keeping it in his hand then kisses Trish goodbye and then walks away. As the scene cuts back onto Trish only, Roger's cellphone is somehow on the table.
