Basic reductive BS. Feels like every line was written by an Ai from 2019.

I'm offended on behalf of evey London gangster who ever lived. I'm offended on behalf of anyone who's ever put pen to paper and finally in offended on behalf of the unfortunate actors who were supposed to deliver these lines with any authenticity. The accents are "off!" The whole thing is having a fist at homo eroticism and failing.

The soundtrack is unremarkable.

The shots and edits are painfully repetitive. There's homage and then there's just poor imitation. I'm convinced that if you fed the full script into a 2025 large language model, it would do a better rewrite in 60 seconds.

I'm 35 minutes in and and I can't find any reason to keep watching.

Luca Pasqualino (Albert Hill) & Marc Warren (Bob Fink) also worked together on The Musketeers (2014) as D'Artagnan & Rochefort respectively.

Goofs
The scene of Albert's childhood Christmas is set 15 years in the past, and yet you can see a copy of Christopher Hitchen's book "Hitch-22" on the shelf behind Albert's dad in their living room. Hitch-22 was published in 2010.
