Boring and Messy Story of Obsession
"Eve" is the type of low-budget thriller that raises expectations to the viewer, using a modern environment and location, beautiful cast and a predictable mystery. Unfortunately, the slow-paced development associated to a messy screenplay turn the potential of the film into a terrible and forgettable non-sense experience. My vote is two.

Horrible!
This movie was all over the place it was a failed attempt of a good movie, but I will give it an A for effort but it deserves an F for being so damn boring & horribly executed.👎🏻👎🏻
I don't know what's going on.
Don't let my review history on here fool you: I do love subtle, well-crafted, thought-provoking films too (I just don't tend to talk about them on IMDB because it's mostly a place I vent about movies that I think are bad or bland). But, also, don't think I'm saying this is such a film. Subtlety can be great, but there's subtlety and then there's vagueness. This film has the latter. I can suspect the intent, but it's not really clear what they're attempting because the execution is so boring and confusing.
And this is another one of those British films in which everyone seems to dislike each other even when they supposedly like each other. I've been heavy into British media since childhood, but sometimes those kinds of attitudes (and even the drawn-out posh accents) do my head in, to borrow a phrase. Are British people really just fake and pretentious and up their own butts? Maybe. But it's not fun to watch in a movie. I root for no one in such a case.
I love the set (house), and I love the red dress (the red lipstick too). Some of the music is catchy. There are some good shots, and it doesn't look like it was filmed on a first-generation smartphone like some indie films even to this day. The makeup/FX was fine too. Otherwise, it's nothing. The pacing and lack of suspense kill this film. Also, the "main" blonde woman is so thin it's difficult to look at sometimes.

Repulsion and celeb luvys
Left wanting more b/c of amazing tension out of the mise en scene lingering shots and soundtrack even self parodic of the hipster lofts melodrama mock psycho scenes wonderful texture tonality just a touch of the old new wave nicely done. There's the usual b movie mad woman in the attic ( no spoilers) pinch of salt but not a drag this time too obvious meta moans . Wish it had remained purely psychological like Blow Up. Still though it's a troped 3rd act not as original as the first acts it was well done. I'd probably rate this about 14th? On my list of favourites for September 2024 - December 2025 on a list of about 50. So that's pretty impressive. Some nicely judges Notting Hill scenes right out of Hello magazine. 7/10.
