Yuri and the Bear

I sense more of Ice Bear's backstory will be shown in future episodes. And this is a beautiful way to start it. I won't spoil anything, but be prepared for lots and lots of feels. We learn how Ice Bear knows how to do a lot of the cool stuff he does, as well as see his first relationship with a human. It's has more feels than a Pixar movie. The only thing I wish was different, and this sort of a spoiler depending on how you view it, was how the episode starts. You're thrown right into the action, there's no explanation about what happened to Ice Bear's family, or mother. Was he abandoned, was his mother killed, we don't know. It may shape the character, it may not, but it would be nice to know.

A heartwarming and yet tragic. This episode is fantastic, it explains the best bears story and created a... phenomenal story and origin

This shouldn't even be classified as merely an "episode", it should've been designated as a Short Film and submitted for awards. This episode of We Bare Bears just shows us how exceptional this series was and why it should NEVER have been cancelled. Absolutely gorgeously heartbreaking, tragic but still so hopeful. Ice Bear is widely known as the "best" bear, but his backstory deserves more fleshing out like we saw here. The depth and emotion shown in this episode, and this series, is unparalleled to date. I'll still be holding out hope for more material in the future from Daniel Chong and others.
