- Gene Siskel: Absolutely. The first one was a very good film, uh, the only thing you can do with this character is have him go to the other side. Have him really flirt with becoming a bad guy. Or have some kind, y'know, obviously, get real cornball and have him fall, and have there be a female RoboCop. He's lonely. Something. They didn't even try that kind of stuff. Uh, it is really just, y'know, the marching kinda guy.
- Roger Ebert: You know, you've really triggered me with your concept of a female RoboCop. I wish you could develop that a little more fully for me.
