- Gene Siskel - Host: "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective", and y'know, February has just begun, but you're gonna be hearing a lot about "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" from me next January on our "worst" show. This is an appallingly bad movie. Jim Carrey, the star and co-writer of this mess, is SO obnoxious, he makes Jim Varney and his Ernest character seem as brilliant as Chaplin's Little Tramp.

- Gene Siskel - Host: I guess you could say that Jim Carrey from TV's "In Living Color" really isn't to blame, he's trying to be funny. It's the people who hired him that should be blamed. So take your complaints to producer/financer James G. Robinson of Morgan Creek Films. "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective": Shockingly bad.

- Roger Ebert - Host: Y'know, I've seen the actor on television, he can play a lot of different characters. He's very talented, and he could probably play a character that I would enjoy in a movie I would enjoy. He has not done either one of those things this time.
