Normally I don't watch Taylor Cole movies. I don't find her engaging so her movies don't keep me focused. But if you like kids then watch it to see Brooklyn Rae Silzer as the mayor's daughter. She is just the cutest and most adorable kid!
The movie has a few storylines besides just on the main actors so this also makes this movie worth watching.

This is a cut above the usual Hallmark fare. The reason is good casting - the actors are excellent and bring dimension to the characters.
8.2 stars.
A movie star named Jessica comes to the small town of Homestead to stay at an inn owned by the mayor (Matt) and his sister (Zoe). Mayor Matt doesn't know anything about the actress, but his daughter Sophie is one of her biggest fans and she is through the roof excited, because this celebrity has decided to stay at their inn over the holidays while they shoot the final scenes of her latest film.
This is a wonderful story of a very likable mayor of a quaint Christmas-loving town, who is a bit old fashioned and skeptical.
But when he falls in love with this superstar, he will have no choice but to adapt to be someone who can handle the most difficult and challenging set of circumstances. There are paparazzi and scandals and altered plans and big inconveniences that come along with a movie star and her entourage.
This film is full of wonderful charisma, a most endearing MIchael Rady, one of his best performances (and he's had a few really good ones), his sister is so lovable, the paparazzi fellow also is hard to dislike, and the actress who portrays his daughter is brilliant. And of course Taylor Cole, who is always a pleasure to watch.
8.2 thumbs up for 'Christmas in Homestead'. On my list of favorites!

Although the topic has been covered many times, the movie was interesting and done fairly well. You'll find the daughter adorable and root for unlikely love to win out.
This is a great family movie that has a number of different themes and some wonderful surprises. I really enjoyed the writing and plot of the story and the casting of the actors. There was more humor than I expected and even the minor characters had some good story lines. In addition, the plot took some twists that I hadn't predicted and I was left wondering about the fate of the characters until the end. The backdrop of the Christmas town was well thought out and provided a good surrounding scene for the development of the story and added that wonderful Christmas atmosphere. This is a movie worth recording on your DVR and watching while it's snowing outside and you're sitting under a blanket with a hot chocolate.
