    A movie with no story

Wow, this is a very unique film. Its sad that some folks dont try in the direct to streaming business, but if they were, its time to change careers. I'm very ok with low budget as long as its intetesting, this just isnt.

A girl goes to stay at a house in the woods, hiding from a guy, the reason not mentioned. Her sister keeps calling her, giving more excuses why she cant join her. Sooo the girl drinks, pops pills and goes for walks.

Hmmmmm did this script take 2 or 3 hours to write? A few trips into town to a store where John Brumpton is cast as a clerk? Serious, after his roll in Storm Warning?

The lead actress isnt interesting at all, the camera work is great as is the location setting. A great DP made a huge difference here. Many anoying 15 seconds of blank screen in between scenes, not artistic, just there to stretch this agony to 77 minutes.

Honestly, this looks like a DP rented a place for the weekend with some friends and they decided to bust out a movie without a script, making decisions in between takes.

Oh, non climactic and abrupt ending. Ran out of beer?

    Slow But Interesting Film

Lost Gully Road is an Australian supernatural movie. It is a movie that does take its time to tell the tale of a young woman hiding out in a house in the Australian bush.

The isolation and boredom set in, but odd thing begin to happen.

The movie does show the isolation and loneliness that the main character begins to experience.

This is a very creepy and atmospheric movie. A few people have complained that it is too slow and really not much happens for long stretches.

The movie invokes a sense of eerieness that really gives the viewer an unsettling feeling.

The acting is good, if a little minimal but again, it does help the movie's sinister's undercurrent .

This may not be a film for everyone, but for those who stick with it, will be rewarded.

    BORING!!!!!

Probably the dumbest movie ever. Boring as hell and the only thing that could have helped this film would be gratuitous nudity. And it would have still been bad.

Far more fun than it should be but let down by several factors

Heading out into the wilderness, a battered woman retreats to a remote cabin in the woods under the instruction of a friend to escape the torment of her abusive ex, but the longer she stays there, the more convinced she gets that someone or something might be inside the cabin with her.

This one turned out to be a solid enough indie effort. Among the better features here is the engrossing and engaging setup that makes this quite fun to get going. Knowing little about the truth behind her being there at the cabin but given enough context and elves through her interactions with the caretaker or those who she runs into along the way that it spells out the truth about her purpose there which is a great way to build up our sympathy towards her. As a bonus, that also plays a part in the genuine tension and thrills that emerge the longer she's there as it paints a potentially obvious explanation for what's going on with her frazzled and vulnerable state being the cause of her to run wild with an untrustworthy imagination causing everything to happen. That leads nicely into the film's intriguing series of psychologically-driven haunting scenes. As this all plays with the idea of whether or not the building is haunted or if it's just in her head, the constant influx of voices and whispers she hears around the cabin, whether it's the voices calling out while she's cleaning up, restocking items, and trying to hide out. The longer she's there through contrivance by putting the hiding plan through it's courses, the more these elements start playing with her desire to leave and the increase in supernatural activity which combine into a thrilling finale where the truth is finally revealed about the haunting in the cabin that features some chilling moments throughout here. Overall, these factors manage to hold this one up for the most part. There are a few issues to be had with this one. One of the main drawbacks is the sluggish and lethargic pace that takes quite a while before anything ends up happening as the main drama on display comes at the expense of genre trills. Keeping her isolated at the cabin, where the majority of the interactions with others is limited to phone-call updates on the situation that sent her there and the uncertainty over it being real or in her had all meant that very little happens for a large part of the film that can make this seem somewhat boring. That also highlights the other issue here in its low-budget origins are often highlighted with the scaled-down production, lack of extravagant sets or effects, and a generally underwhelming scale that some might find problematic, which all hold this down.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language and Violence.

    Ugh

Sooo slow and the main character is such a miserable you know what! Good grief. I have been abused but she is just a stupid, miserable, rude person. The beginning is so slow that I almost didn't finish. It is all about her and just builds too slowly for too little of an effect! The other characters are all very fleshed out but she just never gets any depth to her character. She is like a wet wash rag! Why don't you read one of the books maybe it will make you more interesting. Sheesh! There are enough crochet quilts in this house to cover a small village. The nature is beautiful and once she starts walking around you hope that she will enjoy i but no she walks around with her head phones in.
