A Taste of Phobia

A Taste Of Phobia is a garbage version of ABC's Death, ABC's Of Death definitely was not perfect at all but at least there was a lot of segments that were actually really well done. With this movie however there wasn't a single segment that I liked at all, the only thing I can give this movie is that the writing is so bad it's hilarious. Otherwise this movie is pretty worthless and a huge waste of time, the acting is terrible, the filming is horrendous and the director choices are garbage. It's a shame too because the idea of this movie was very interesting, however none of the segements were executed well at all. They all feel like high school projects that failed, definitely give this one a skip...

A horror anthology in the style of the ABCs of Horror which is full of gross out moments and gore but done at a funereal pace. With some proper pacing this would probably be 45 minutes tops. Everything in this just drags on and on heading to an outcome you know is going to happen and you get incredibly bored waiting for it. These are pretty small concept short films but you need to make it to feature length so everything moves at a glacial pace. The short length of the features, which is too long for the subject matter, is also too short for any kind of personality to form for most of them so you are stuck with flat characters doing flat things in a very flat movie. Some of the topics are designed for gross out experiences that would make Troma proud but done with no energy at all. Troma does this kind of gross out horror with frenetic energy but this just moves along with all the excitement of a sloth on Ambien going to the DMV. That is unfair to the sloth, at least he'd have a smile on his face.

This disjointed, odd, greatly unsatisfying and confusing series of bland stories that most don't resolve, and they are way too offbeat for clarity. And if if they do resolve, they resolve horribly. There's really not a good one in this batch, and it's a waste of time spent waiting for one.
