The Haas F1 team (established by Gene Haas and connected with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team Stewart-Haas Racing) are the first Formula One team to make their debut in six years, and the first American team to make their debut since Team Haas (an unrelated team established by Carl Haas and Teddy Meyer connected with the CART and IndyCar Series team Newman/Haas Racing, later Newman/Haas/Langham Racing) in 1985.
