Slow to the point of painful

This episode does a poor job of reaquainting the viewer with the characters we last saw a year ago. This series consists of so much intricacy that requires undivided attention from its viewers, and when there is so much time between seasons, we the viewers need to be eased back into the story and reminded of prior goings on.

This episode jumps around a fair bit, and introduces us to the propaganda minister, who for some unknown reason is espousing the virtues of fascism, when NAZI's were actually socialists. So either the definition of socialism is not the same in this parallel world, or the writers of this show don't know the basics of history. Either way it's just another point of confusion added to an already confusing and hard to follow episode.

    Awesome show!!

I love everything about the show feel bad for the actors and actresses because if you didn't smoke before it, you most definitely smoke and drink now!! Lol

    A confused muddle.

I really want to enjoy this but by gosh it's hard work!

The brief "Previously on..." montage was not enough to remind me of all the disparate plotlines on MIHK series 2 a year ago.. The asumption that I can recall why and how John Smith's son died...nope.

What is right and wrong with it so far? Rufus Sewell, of course, is riveting and Jason O'Mara for once is allowed to use his own Irish accent..but even that sounds fake!...what is going on?

Well, it's summed up by one of the characters in a "pop" band in episode 1 saying to the audience " It's the first time we've played this one before." Eh? Just think about that. 2 drafts of the script just glued together?

On the plus side money has been well spent on effects and the brief action scenes, shame more wasn't spent on a script editor 6/10 so far.

    Not a great start

After season two i expected something much more exciting, instead i got an hour of slow dialogues with a very distorted plot. Like always, the John Smith's moments are the best parts of the episode, instead the Juliana's plot was pretty much boring and confusional.

Do I have to rewatch season 2?

C'mon TMITHC producers, the last episode of season 2 was back in 2017. The least you could have done to ease fans back in was to make season 3 episode 1 easy to follow. Better yet, don't make us wait nearly 2 years between seasons!

    • Trivia
Between Season 2 and Season 3 of "The Man in the High Castle," the creative team wrote a sprawling, detailed document that charts how the US fell to the Nazis.
    • Goofs
When the resistance attack the German soldiers, the bullets hit the ground all around the feet of the soldiers. The resistance then appears from below the road. From that position they might have just been able to see the soldiers' heads but could not have possibly shot around their feet.

Billy Turner: [striding into his office] They can't pull this shit on me last minute. The Fritz Kuhn deal is my deal. I don't need some German chick fresh off the rocket plane to tell me which way's up.

      Nicole Dörmer: Nicole Dormer.

      [extending her hand]

      Nicole Dörmer: German chick.

Billy Turner: Sorry. Billy Turner. Minister of Propaganda, and world-class idiot.
