    slow and boring

The walking dead was in times such a good show, that would make you ansious to see the next episode, now everything is so slow and boring and i don't see the point in so many things.

i just feel like if most of them die, we wouldn't miss them. Still, like Tara, she should be one of the first to go but instead they kill Carl that although wasn't doing THAT much, was still just a good character with so MUCH potential. I mean he died for a really good thing that i also tought would make things better, especially because of their next threat, but they kill him because i bet that they wanted to "spiced" things up.

now, can they just kill tara; because i really dont like her, she doesnt bring nothing to the show.

maybe is just me but if Maggie died, i wouldnt miss a inch of her just like i didnt miss glenn, and did i miss her accent in the previous seasons or is stronger out of nowhere?

There was a time that i would care but now i can see most of them die and just laugh of it.

Or maybe i just been watching too much GoT.

    Yawn

I struggled to make it through this episode without dozing off. Season 8 has been slow (despite the "action"), and this episode comes in as one of the slowest. Although it's not as stupid as some episodes have been, it's the most boring by far, spending most of its time with characters we don't care about and themes that have recycled more times than I can count.

Gabriel has a crisis of faith. You know, the usual story, when things go wrong do you continue to believe it's all part of God's plan or does it destroy your faith? He has his faith tested by multiple events. This theme has been explored with Gabriel in the past so why do the writers feel the need to return to it again? It is a character arc that has already been in previous seasons, yet it's repeated here probably because the writers don't have any new ideas.

The same applies to everything else. Maggie faces up to the moral issue of what to do with prisoners while Tara, Rosita and Daryl squabble over what to do with Dwight. Again, none of this is new territory. The issue has been explored several times this season, and really throughout this show's history ever since Season 2's "Judge, Jury, Executioner". The writers keep coming back to it because they have no other ideas.

What makes it worse is that there are now so many characters that you just don't care about any of it. The guy who was with Gabriel, whose name I can't even remember- why should I care about him? Why should I care about the dozens of characters who are with Tara, Rosita and Daryl? Why should I care what happens to Maggie's prisoners? Whenever any of these characters are put at risk, there's no tension because they're so clearly just side characters, with little to no personality, to be dispensed with whenever the story wishes. When the main characters like Tara, Daryl and Maggie are under threat there's no tension either because you just know they're going to make it.

Even the main actors playing Tara, Daryl and Maggie seem to have given up, giving lifeless performances that do the precise opposite of bringing their characters to life. It's like they know full well how lame this show is and don't want to be there. I can relate.

There's one good thing about this episode, Negan's new plan to cover weapons in Walker guts. If Scott Gimple doesn't screw this up, it could actually lead to genuinely exciting and suspenseful results.

Really 8.7/10 but that's not an option.

Pretty good episode. 8B is already pounds better than 8A so that's a plus. The Gabriel stuff was kind of silly but still entertaining to watch. Most of the episode felt like the plot was progressing which was good, although I found most progression at the very end. I'm happy that they did not use any of those godawful zoom in shots from the last episode because they really do not look good. My only complaints were the swamp sequenced did feel a little bit standstill until they finally got to Hilltop and the Dwight/Tara stuff happened. Speaking of Tara, she is the worst. I get that Dwight did some screwed up stuff to the people of Alexandria, but he would be much better alive. Negan again stole all of his scenes, but at this point I'm not surprised. I think that dipping Lucille in guts is just the start, and they're gonna be doing a lot more. Overall, 8.7/10

    Needs More Carol & Daryl

This show has been missing the mark lately (with the exception of the previous episode). It's not so much of an "all out war" but rather slow dialogue and little plot progression. There simply needs to be more of the excitement that made the show popular in the first place.

This season takes place about three years after the initial outbreak, at this point most medications, especially antibiotics and opioid painkillers like morphine, that are not stored properly (in a cool, dark, dry room) would have lost most of their potency and would be useless. The pills on the floor of that room Gabriel finds were exposed to sunlight and fluctuating temperatures and humidity over a period of years, which will cause most medications to decay rapidly. If properly stored most medications can actually last for years beyond the expiration date, FDA guidelines for stockpiled medications stored properly says most medications are safe to use 6 years past their expiration date. So at this point in time the only medications that would still have any clinical effect would be ones that were stored in an air tight, pitch black, temperature controlled room.

Negan: I'm disappointed, Eugene. This crap was supposed to be behind us. Two flushes and out the pipe. Top it all off, my only doctor and that creepy-ass priest somehow managed to jump ship without anybody knowing about it. You have any idea how something like that could happen, Eugene?

Dr. Eugene Porter: No, I would not venture to guess.

Negan: Carson was never one of us. He was a weasel, just like his weasel brother. That's my best stab at it.

Dr. Eugene Porter: Drawing together associations and behaviors, that's a solid stab.
