The Painted Warrior

I ran a marathon once years ago. Trained like heck for it. But this obstacle racing and the training for it is on another level. So intriguing about all the prep and dedication that goes into the sport. And I loved this couple and their relationship. I found them so inspiring! The film is beautifully crafted. It reminded me a little of the classic, Olympia. Really, this was a sensational sports documentary!

It tells the story about Stephen Sinek, who is a an athlete and endures in obstacle racing. I have never heard about that sport before, but it´s sick. The challengers have to run through the Mesquite Valley and they have to endure through a lot of really hard challenges on the way.

The doc also focuses on the mental challenges in regards to being such an athlete and that´s really inspiring. Aside from that, Sinek has the support of his wife, who is the person that paints "The Painted Warrior".

Lastly, the film crew does a really good job too. So if you are into sports, what it takes to be an athlete in an extreme sport, you should really watch this awesome doc.

Along with revealing the heart of a sport few know much about, this intriguing doc offers an insightful look at the lengths one couple is willing to go to accomplish a collective dream.

Fascinating doc that is entertaining and mesmerizing as well. Obstacle racing is something I never knew anything about but it's a great 'survivor' type sport that is so engrossing and interesting. The paint job done by his wife is artistic and original and just gives him a curious look and sparks the imagination in this most unusual sport. I highly recommend it for some really fun viewing.

This doc was incredibly interesting. I knew nothing about the world of obstacle racing prior to watching this, but what really captured my attention was the incredible focus and drive that Stephen exhibits, his bond with his wife and the aspirational nature of their mindset. Thoroughly enjoyed!
